2018 Happy Diwali $1 PNC
This vividly coloured postal numismatic coin cover captures the essence of the ancient ‘festival of lights’ Diwali, which is celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and some Buddhists around the world.
During the jubilant festivities Ganesha is worshipped as the deity of intellect and remover of obstacles to welcome wisdom along with wealth. Ganesha is typically portrayed with the head of an elephant, a rotund belly and four arms. He is often depicted holding an axe to cut down ignorance and a lotus flower, the symbol of enlightenment, with a rat or mouse at his feet.

Vivid Colour Design
The coin features a representation of Ganesha with his traditional motifs - a lotus flower, an ornamental axe and a mouse, symbolising the deity’s state of enlightenment. The design includes the inscription ‘happy diwali’ and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
Official Australia Post Stamp
Affixed to the envelope are two official Australia Post $1.00 stamps, one depicting the goddess Lakshmi and another brightly coloured balloons. The stamp is postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.
Tuvalu Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination and the 2018 year-date.
