Early Australian banknotes feature several examples of what I believe to be absolutely beautiful artistry.
If you've ever studied one of these older banknotes you will understand and appreciate what I mean by this. The linework is marvellous and represents a not so distant time when technological advancements may have been lacking but the attention to detail was superb.
