2022 Fender Stratocaster 1oz .9999 Guitar Shaped Silver Coin in Surf Green

In Fender®’s early days the right type of tint and varnish was hard to come by. Thanks to the very same paint used on the famous ’56 Chevy, Surf Green became one of the fan-favourites for the Stratocaster®.

In the early ’60’s Fender® continued to innovate, this time with its promotional efforts. The hugely popular “You won’t part with yours either” campaign featured musicians with their guitars in the unlikeliest of situations including motorbiking, sky-diving and of course, surfing!

Struck by PAMP from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver in Switzerland, this coin is issued as legal tender under Solomon Islands and has a maximum world wide mintage of 6,000.

DESIGN

The reverse of each coin features the depiction of a Fender Stratocaster in a surf green colour. The weight and purity can be seen on the pick guard.

The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, monetary denomination and issuer, the 2022 year-date and an individualised serial number.

PRESENTATION

Each 2022 Fender Stratocaster 1oz Silver Coin is presented in a custom guitar shaped capsule. Each coin is presented in a Fender themed presentation box.
