Silver drachm from the Kingdom of Macedon during Alexander III's reign (336-323 B.C.). This coin, weighing 4.22 grams, was minted circa 323-317 B.C. in Abydus. One side displays Herakles' head in a lion skin with intricate dotted borders, while the other showcases Zeus seated on a throne holding an eagle, with a tuny fish to the left and a mysterious monogram beneath the throne. 

Obverse: Head of Herakles facing right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck.

Reverse: Zeus seated on backless throne facing to the left
